Frequently Asked Questions.
How do I contact eadesigner? The best way to contact me is via email at contact@eadesigner.com or by filling out my contact form. For your convenience, you can also call me at 1 (401) 369-9918. How quickly will you get back to me?I strive to respond to all inquiries by the next business day, although response time for electronic messages (email / contact form) is typically within the same business day. What is ProBuilder?ProBuilder (Proposal Builder) is a form designed to make your experience customizable. This is an ideal tool if you know exactly what you're looking for. This form allows you to pick from many options available and customize a proposal a-la-carte. Start by choosing with the service you would like (i.e. web, print or motion) and continue building your request until the options match your goal as well as your budget. Clicking the Send button gathers the information and sends it to me for final review. You can expect a timely response to your inquiry, usually within one business day. What is ProChooser?ProChooser (Proposal Chooser) offers a variety of packages built with you in mind. From creating new web sites to brochures, ads and flyers, theres always a package for you. Some packages are only offered for a limited time only, so be sure to subscribe to my RSS feed to stay informed on all the hot deals. Do you use templates for your web designs? No. Many web designers utilize templates for their designs - there are several popular web sites that sell design templates, where all you have to do is throw in your logo and text and call it a day. However, you do ultimately get what you pay for. Using those templates means that there could be 5, 10, 50 or more other companies out there with the same exact web site as you. In the end, that doesn't do anything for your company's identity. That’s why, when you work with eadesigner, you can rest assured that you won’t see any other web sites out there that look the same as the one I created for YOU. I do not re-use my designs. Once I’ve designed something for a client, it is uniquely theirs. When I start working with you, I start with an entirely fresh slate, creating a whole new design concept for your company. Will my web site display properly in different web browsers?Yes! Although I favor Mozilla Firefox for it’s strong support of web standards, I do test your web site in the latest versions of many of the most popular web browsers, for optimum cross-browser compatibility. I develop web sites primarily with Firefox and Internet Explorer in mind, but check compatibility with Chrome, Safari and Opera, as well. What if I’m a web designer or developer? What if I’m a designer and I already have a site designed but I just need the html coded? Or what if I’m a developer and I need help with the design? No problem! Although I specialize in both the custom design and development of complete sites, I realize sometimes you only need one or the other. If you're a developer and need help with a design, I would be happy to design the site for you, and provide you with the final layered Photoshop file that you can code yourself. Alternatively, there are many designers who prefer to focus strictly on design. If this is the case, you can leave the coding to me. Send me your layered Photoshop mock-up and I will code the markup. What can I expect when we start working together? How do you handle the process from beginning to end? I have defined primary steps in the design and development process for web, print and motion. From gathering initial information, to creation, and finally to maintenance to keep your files up to date. These articles outline every detail:
What is WorkSite? You can view the progress of your web site by logging into WorkSite. There you will be able to view preliminary designs for your web site, offer feedback for revisions and give approval to begin development. Once I have your final approval, I move the web site from my client area to your web server - making the site viewable to the public. How long does it take to design and develop my web site? There’s no exact answer to this, as the time will vary based on the complexity of the project, how quickly you respond to requests for feedback and approval of certain stages, as well as how large your web site will be. However, most standard web sites are completed within 6-8 weeks. Again, this depends on how large of a web site it is, as well as timely communication and feedback between both of us. Ok, I am ready to get started! Now what?See my Services page to view the different solutions I offer. If you know exactly what you need, use ProBuilder to customize your very own package which is flexible to your needs as well as your budget. However, if you're not entirely sure what kind of package you're looking for, use the ProChooser to select from any one of my money saving packages. Alternatively, you may also contact me directly - I would be happy to walk you through the process of determining your design needs. I’ll ask you several questions to help determine your goals and needs, as part of the Information Gathering Stage. I'll take this information to create a proposal for you, which will include several options for you to choose from. I will send you my standard contract for services that you can sign and email back to me. This helps protect both of us to be sure everyone’s best interests are taken care of. In most cases I do require a 50% deposit for all design and development services. Final payment is due before transfer of files to you, the printer, or your server. For large projects however, the payments can be made in thirds. Other services, such as domain registration, or maintenance plans are due in full at time of purchase. Once your contract and initial payment are received, I also sign and send back a copy of the contract to you, for your records. This is where I begin work on the initial design concepts. As soon as these are ready, I will give you access to WorkSite, where you will be able to view the progress of your web site or animation as it is created. What payment methods do you accept?I accept payments made with Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover via PayPal (PayPal account optional, not required). I also accept personal / business checks or money orders. Have a question not listed here?If so, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly. I'm always more than happy to answer your questions and I look forward to hearing from you! |
