Mastering Adobe Dreamweaver

Within the course of one day, a leader in web design and development showed us tips and secrets not taught in classrooms – some of which I already knew. Other lessons such as technology behind the next generation Internet and how it has ushered in a new era of Web page interactivity. Using Ajax to easily create sophisticated web pages that could previously only be done in Flash. Using the Spry Framework technology to create dynamic pages that will blow away the competition. I learned how these two tools work together and how the new Spry tools that come with Dreamweaver CS4 will make building web sites for you even more sophisticated.

At this seminar I learned:

  • Secret principles behind Web site design, and how to efficiently plan and build your web site.
  • How to maximize the power of Dreamweaver´s tools to incorporate virtually any type of function.
  • Creating CSS web pages in almost no time at all.
  • The best ways to use layers to achieve dramatic designs.

Advanced Photoshop Users

Most people simply hammer away in Photoshop, never truly knowing just how much more this powerful program is capable of. In just two information-packed days, I discovered how to unlock the full potential of Photoshop so I could work faster and produce better images than I ever thought possible. The techniques taught in this workshop allowed me to uncover the secrets of professional color management, work easily and quickly with multiple layers, understand layer masks and blend modes. I even learned powerful techniques (previously undocumented) that maximized my ability to create the kinds of images that cause people to do a double take when they see them.

At this seminar I learned:

  • Little-known selection strategies for creating stunning photo composites.
  • How to balance images for printing with flawless color corrections.
  • High-gear layering techniques for combining photos and other images.
  • Undocumented power tips and techniques to boost creativity and productivity.

Hands-On Web Site Development

This two day workshop was designed to give designers computer programming skills or specialized technical expertise to build a web site that´s effective, attractive and attention-grabbing. They did this with intensive training by taking the best of select web professionals´ techniques and boiling them down to the powerful essentials that any designer can learn.

At this seminar I learned:

  • To develop the skills and expertise I needed to effectively create and launch a major organization´s web site.
  • Harness the power of Cascading Style Sheets to guarantee professional-looking results.
  • Professional techniques that will steer visitors to your site, help them find what they´re looking for — and motivate them to come back.
  • How to create animated, interactive content and then effortlessly insert it into web pages.
  • How to create interactive forms that can capture visitor information, including valuable data such as email addresses, names, phone numbers and even product orders for an e-commerce site.

Project and Time Management

Every day, we’re judged by our ability to manage projects, priorities and deadlines. You may be a project manager, or someone who knows the value of handling your projects and deadlines during the course of your workday efficiently. From solid project management practices such as creating, implementing, monitoring, controlling and delivering as promised to learning ways to get organized and break down the barriers to personal productivity, their tried and tested methods enabled me to get the right things done on time and with the desired results.

At this seminar I learned:

  • How to manage and work on projects while I'm juggling other regular job responsibilities.
  • How to develop project plans and get them started in the right direction.
  • Why deadlines are missed—how to avoid, up front, the single biggest obstacle to meeting the schedule.
  • How to establish checkpoints and milestones that tell you whether or not your project is on track.
  • How to use the principle of "organized disagreement" to ferret out creative alternatives and solutions.
