Print Design Milestones.

This timeline will vary greatly depending on the project at hand as well as time spent on feedback, rounds of revision and approvals throughout the life of the project.

Initial Design Concepts

After we have discussed your print design needs and I have received your signed contract, I would require a 50% deposit prior to starting any work. Once the initial payment has been delivered, the process can promptly begin with collecting your information and content. Initial design concepts are created from the information gathered and PDFs will be sent to you for review.

Fine Tuning Your Design

Once you’ve had a chance to look over the initial concept designs, you have the opportunity to provide feedback and request changes. Ideally I'd like to hear back from you within 1-2 business days, but some clients choose to wait a week or more. This can delay the project completion date.

This stage of the process can be longer depending on factors such as the number of pages and rounds of revisions. Small revisions can be done within the same business day, and large revisions may have a turn around time of 1-2 business days. I will continue this process of fine tuning the design until I have your complete approval.

Final Delivery

With your approval on all aspects of the design such as copy, images and structure, I will send you a final invoice for the work completed thus far. Final payment of the invoice is required before sending the graphic files to you and/or printer. Once the balance is received, I will immediately send you all the artwork, links and fonts in a Zip package.

I can either send you the final Zipped package through FTP (online file transfer) or use a third party site such as YouSendIt.com for downloading at your convenience. I will continue to keep a copy of your project in my archives for emergency.

Ongoing Maintenance

Since you may need additional changes or updates to your file on an as-needed basis, I'm more than happy to offer this service at an hourly rate. I also know that emergency edits may arise so it's important to have a designer that can quickly take care of any changes and send the file to print. Conveniently, I always keep a copy of your files ready and edits can usually be done within the same business day.
